Namuwongo Church Woman's Project

Pilgrim's Namuwongo Revival Church Outreach Ministry works in an area known as the Kampala slum. The poorest of the poor live in this area, and conditions are bleak. The church, with the help of a grant from Pilgrim, has established a "Women's Project" which provides education, training and micro-loans to very poor women in the area. The Women's Project stimulates small collective consensus-driven efforts to make & market goods or services, particularly encouraging leadership in mentoring and management. The total cost of the program is low, requiring payment only for the training.
