About Us

Pilgrim is a Christian Ugandan non-profit (Reg. No S5914/3885) providing material and spiritual aid to the war- afflicted peoples of eastern and northern Uganda.

Pilgrim strives to share the hope and love that is found in Christ Jesus which generates wholeness, creativity and dignity.

Because love is never content with a partial or lukewarm response to need, we believe in a progressive multiservice approach in our interventions.

We believe the best witness of Christ's revolutionary love is to invest ourselves in as total a fashion as possible in the lives, dreams, hopes, gifts and talents of the people we serve.

What We Do

Pilgrim provides food, medicine and trauma counseling to refugees of Uganda's civil war who live in refugee camps in the northeastern region of Uganda, and works to rehabilitate and resettle refugee families.

In 2006, Pilgrim started Beacon College, sponsored secondary school education and room and board for 450 former abductees, child soldiers and orphaned children from the camps.

As we provide necessary relief and rehabilitation to this war-torn region, our long-term goal is to promote sustainable socio-economic development in Teso, the northeastern region and Uganda.
